Project Scope

  • Upgrade of Isuzu's SharePoint sites from the 2013 version to the 2019 on-premises version
  • Migration of select internal SharePoint sites to SharePoint Online

In general, Calance has built and supported custom solutions, workflows, and general maintenance of SharePoint for Isuzu. This includes supporting both internal and external users of SharePoint as well as the management teams.

Calance Solution

For the most recent migration, Calance SharePoint team worked with Isuzu’s stakeholders to review their SharePoint sites and determine the appropriate migration strategy. Sites with external users were migrated to SharePoint 2019 on-premises, while those with only internal users were migrated to SharePoint Online.

In addition, we supported one division who worked on migrating their own sites to SharePoint Online using a third-party tool with which they were not familiar and required our support and expertise with the tool.

Calance provides guidance on an ongoing basis for SharePoint functionality to meet client’s business needs and we supplement this with custom solutions that focus on minimizing costs and development time by making use of out-of-the-box functionality whenever possible. This results in viable price-conscious solutions

Results

The migration was a success, with both SharePoint 2019 on-premises and SharePoint Online sites functioning effectively. Calance continues to provide comprehensive SharePoint support for Isuzu, ensuring ongoing stability and performance.
